The Grauballe Man is the world’s best-preserved bog body. He is not only one of the most spectacular finds from Denmark’s Iron Age – he is an archaeological discovery of world-class importance. Guided by the personal stories of the Vikings in our ears, we follow them through the smoky, narrow alleyways of Aros – the Aarhus of the Viking period, steer your own ship across open seas and through the Danish straits to the mountains of Norway, or travel via rivers to exotic Constantinople.

* To get a student discount, you need to show a valid student card with expiration date and ID.

Family-friendly food

In our café you can eat your meal whilst enjoying views of the forest and sea through the large panorama windows. On sunny days, you can also sit on our spacious roof terrace with views of the forest treetops and rolling hills of the landscape.

Moesgaard Junior

Moesgaard Junior is Moesgaard’s large play-and-discovery lab! Spread across two floors, you can investigate mysterious objects, ask big and small questions, and unleash your curiosity as archaeologists and history detectives.

Put on a lab coat and set off on a treasure hunt into the past – beneath the sea and deep within the dark soil of history.
